What’s most men’s goal whenever they workout in the gym? We all want to build a bigger wider chest. Some men want a bigger chest so that they’ll look good in their shirts and some want to simply build strength. Some men want to build their chest to impress the ladies. Either way there is an effective way of building your chest muscles and attaining quick noticeable results. Most people are unaware of how to separate the chest workout into three regions. Those regions are the top, middle and the bottom regions of your chest. The middle region is of course the largest section of the chest. Most people automatically began with an exercise that targets the large region of their chest because it is most commonly done first. Followed by whatever their personal preference is for the next section of the chest muscles. Unfortunately that method is not the correct way to effectively build up your chest.
First let’s start by discussing those three different regions and the chest exercises needed to target those particular regions. The incline press is the best exercise that targets the upper region of the chest muscle. The incline press it also the first exercise you should do when concentrating of the chest because it is the smallest region and in most cases the weakest region in terms of strength. There are many different variations of incline chest press that can be done. The method of the incline chest press you choose is entirely up to you just be sure to perform the incline chest exercise first so that you don’t have to do that region of your chest later when muscle fatigue begins to set in.
Second is the bottom region of your chest. Again the bottom region is not as large as the middle region but the bottom region also shouldn’t be worked last. The bottom region of your chest is what gives you that separation between your chest and your abs. The bottom region also gives a man that bulky look he’s looking for whenever he wearing a shirt. The bottom region of the chest can be targeted by performing the declined chest press exercise. Again you can use dumbbells or lift using the barbell machines. Whichever is your preference just be sure to work the bottomed region of your chest to ensure still have enough in the tank to complete your chest workout.
Lastly, let’s discuss the middle region of your chest. Now this is your meat and potatoes. Exercising the middle region on your chest also can be done in many different ways. You can use dumbbells, the barbell; you can position your hands for wide grip close grip reverse grip. You can do pech-dec flies. Whatever suits your fancy? As long as this region of your chest is don’t last. You’ll notice that you if you separate your chest workouts in this order that you will have more left in the tank than using any other method.
In conclusion, this blog is not to say that this is the only way or even the best way to exercise your chest, but it has been a proven method not only for me but for profession body builders alike. Try it yourself. You can thank me later. ;-)
